First Congressional District

 

  • Incumbent: John Larson (D) (website)

 

  • Challenger: Scott MacLean (R) (website)

 

  • Notes: MacLean defeated challenger Miriam Masullo 63% to 37% (1,988 to 1,157--a very low turnout) in a bitter August 8th primary. Masullo, who does not live in the 1st District, also lost the nomination in 2004.

 

Larson is a heavy favorite over MacLean.
