House District 127

  • Incumbent: Rep. Jack Hennessy (D)
  • Opponent 1: Enrico Costantini (R)
  • Towns: Bridgeport (part)
  • 2004 Margin of Victory: 27.8%
  • Notes: The Secretary of States office does not list Hennessy as a candidate (as of 6/11/06). The Bridgeport News says, "first-term incumbent Hennessy will be challenged by three-term City Council member Thomas C. McCarthy.

McCarthy has most of the party establishment behind him, including Mayor John M. Fabrizi and former state Rep. Jacqueline Cocco, and should win the party endorsement. However, Hennessy defeated the party nominee last time."

Update:: Hennessy won the primary 52%-48%.
